As a visual artist, I intentionally blur distinctions between photography and film as art and ethnographic material.
I am working on a project that pieces together the remnants of a film made by Charles Guggenheim, titled O pescador e sua alma [The Fisherman and His Soul] and have included stills from that film – interspersed with my own photographs of makeup – below.
